If you are not plugged into the grid, you are definitely missing out.

When it comes to solar panels, the more the better.   I have seven 120 watt
units and I wish I had more as my energy use goes up.  Before I got the
satellite antenna, receiver, and 32 LCD TV the 840 watts of solar and the
two KISS wind generators could keep up unless I had two cloudy/windless
days in a row in which I would have to top up the house batteries using the
genset.

I have a large wheelhouse top where I have mounted my PV panels, but most
boats with aft cockpits make an arch on the stern that is combination
dinghy davits, antenna farm and solar panel platform.  Some incorporate
wind generator masts with this arch.
