I leave mine on scan mostly for entertainment. Downeast lobstermen have a sense of humor and are always talking amongst themselves. Add in the shore side conversations with their wives and you have a full day of of laughter.

Depending on where I am, it scans 16 and maybe also 13 and whatever channel we are using for a working channel. So if someone actually calls us on - say channel 71, or if we are talking to a marina on 68, then I would be using a working channel and would not be monitoring 16. Otherwise the unit would be scanning and would be monitoring 16 as well as whatever other channels I have on the scan. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
