Excellent report Ken! Thank you for all the valuable updated information!

Another item I have not mentioned was my mounting of the KISS generators.
I used two aluminum poles, a 1 1/4" inside a 1 1/2" with epoxy poured in
between the two pipes. The inner pipe is slightly shorter than the outer
one. A set screw from the outside of the pipe holds the slip ring unit in
place to prevent rattling.

In my case the doubled-up pipe is attached to my aluminum deckhouse. The
lower, threaded end, screws into a threaded 90 deg el which screws onto a
threaded stub of pipe welded to the deckhouse side. About 20" above this
is an angle bracket welded to the deckhouse side with a U-bolt to hold the
pipe. This makes it very easy to simply remove the u-bolt and swing the
unit down for servicing. The cord hanging from the tail of the wind
generator has a bowline around the pipe with enough of a loop in it so
after I rotate the wind generator away from the wind and the propeller
stops, I can slip the bowline loop around a prop tip to secure the machine.
It is easy to do because I can easily reach to the cord from on deck. With
the unit higher up and having to use a boathook would be much more
difficult for us old folks.
