Obviously you have a "now" problem.




CAV ...English...made a ton of stuff for Perkins and others.
Do not lose sight of the fact that Perkin's made industrial engines which  
were also used in truck, and Land Rovers, and zillions of those taxi's.
 
The starter could just as easily be a anyone's product....particularly  if 
there is an adapter ring between the starter nose and the flywheel  housing...  
I had a Delco on my 4-108 and a friend has one on his  6-354.
Personally I'd just take it to a rebuilder, they will probably tell you the  
source in about two seconds and who's and what number to look for locally.
