I have known of a clock repair shop in Alexandria, Virginia, for around 30 years. Classic operation, you go down a few stairs from the street to the shop where a very elderly gentleman wearing glasses with magnifiers attached greets you after you ring a bell. Through the counter window you can see clocks of all designs -everywhere- and I mean, everywhere. It's like something out of a childrens book. Mr Dietzl has handled all the clocks I inherited over the past few decades, as well as a few I've bought off eBay or from yard sales. He only works part time now. I can get his address for you if you like.
