I was thinking of reviving my old license but have decided not to do so. We're cruising and I don't make my living with it any longer. The effort is not worth it any longer.
BTW, our _only_ U.S. address is a mail forwarding address and we live on our boat outside the country. We can _not_ vote from this address for _any_ election since it is a _business_ address. We use this address on our drivers license too. For me, who spent over 20 years of his life in a U.S. military uniform and never knowingly missed an election, it is difficult to think that I am no longer able to exercise my constitutional right to vote. I'm told that even homeless people on the street get to vote using the public library address. Convicted felons can't vote or at least they didn't used to be able to. I've never had so much as a traffic ticket and I'm seemingly placed lower than a homeless person on the street and in the same non-voting category as a convicted felon simply because my only address is a business address? 1984 was a bit late but seems to be here. We have met the enemy and he is _us_ (or is that u.s.?).
