Oops! Make that 2933 Highway 70 WEST. Also, he is in high demand. Unless you plan to stay in the area for a while, call him in advance.

Fred Lindow is indeed still in Beaufort. He repaired our stainless steel rail and stern ladder. Fred does excellent work and is THE man in town for steel fabrication. (252) 728-6249. 2933 Highway 70 East, Beaufort, NC 28516....

Thanks all,
Great to hear that such boat yards still exist. You folks have got me
almost looking forward to our haul out.
On a similar note: About ten years ago there was a welder in Beaufort
named Fred. We called him 'Fred the Fabricator' and his work was not only
reasonably priced, but exquisitely done. He made a mast head spinnaker
bale for me that was a work of art. Is he still around? Any contact
info?
