I use a program called Region and CSS Free to remove the region code AND most types of encryption (that was just part of the program when I bought it) from all DVD movies. had to do this because the first DVD drive I installed would NOT let me set the region code. T LG service guys insisted that Windows 98SE would let me set the region code, but they were WRONG!

As I recall it costs less than 50 bucks. http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm This program is ONLY for computer DVD playing, but it is automatic, it starts when you start your DVD player program.
