I am sure that there are differences in supplemental insurance plans in this regard. We are covered through Tricare for Life which is insurance through the military because Bob is retired military. When he had a heart attack in the Bahamas, they picked up between 50 and 80% of the expenses in the Bahamas (ER, ICU, cardiologist, and med-evac plane). I paid on my credit cards and then got reimbursed 6-8 months later. I understand there is travel insurance that you can get now that covers you even if you aren't on a scheduled carrier, but I suspect that it would be prohibitively expensive. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
