Write to your Senators and Congressman. Urge them to support House Bill H.R. 5949, the Clean Boating Act of 2008 and Senate Bill S. 2766, also known as the Clean Boating Act of 2008, and Senate Bill S. 2067, the Recreational Boating Act of 2007. These bills will permanently exempt recreational boats from the permits to be required by the EPA. They are currently in committee where they are expected to receive recommendation for passage.
