You should be aware that if you bring the boat and trailer into the country
and then sell it, you will probably be considered the importer.  Scope out
the Customs site to see if this causes any concerns - you might want the
purchaser to agree to indemnify you for any issues that arise - or to make
the purchase FOB Buffalo, with an additional payment for delivery (by you).

The purchaser is going to need to prove the trailer is road legal.  I expect
this is what will be the major topic of discussion in JohnB's links below.
It will be a PITA if it is a home-built or foreign import trailer; pretty
much a non-event if US or Canadian-built.
