In bad weather, I do as most cruisers on a passage do, that is I sit or lie out of the weather. I don't have a dodger (a hard removable dodger is on the 'someday' list), but I do have a cover, and even a doger gets impossible to see through I have found. In any case every so often I do look around. You do not really need to be looking over the bow or whatever every second of 24 hours, you know. I have found a scan every 15-20 min works just fine. Far enough away and gone I make it even longer, depending. Of course in shipping traffic or close to soundings or the coast this is not enough. Even then, you don't need to be outside, a quick look every couple of min is sufficient unless you are in the ICW or something. -Ken _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
