I don't know if moisture is the cause of the discoloration in your lockers but
we eliminated excess moisture in our hanging lockers by using Damp Rid.
Damp Rid consists of plastic tubs of about a pint, with a basket insert in them
that holds the Damp Rid chemical, calcium carbonate I think. The chemical
attracts moisture, gets wet, and the moisture drips down into the pot. We
empty the pot and renew the chemical about every three weeks.
They keep our closets dry and we have NO moisture problems so far for several
decades.
