Florida is becoming liveaboard unfriendly because Florida wants to. The
impact on Florida’s income (sales tax, etc.) through the loss of boaters
will be minimal and they will keep the condo-owners (who pay mega bucks in
taxes) very happy. The answer for those who liveaboard in Florida is
simply: campaign to change the rules, live within the rules, or leave.

Some have been successful at changing the rules. Some find it acceptable to
live within the local rules. Others have left.

Choose your poison.

Bella,

Are you and Norm bosom buddies? Because if you are not, you are making
personal attacks on another list member - and that is not permitted. Norm
has his experience and you have yours. I enjoy reading Norm's emails.

Florida is making itself into liveaboard hell and cruiser unfriendly. Higher
fuel costs will help Florida reach its goal of entertaining zero
out-of-state cruisers and liveaboards.

Good luck in trying to get an accurate vote count this November. Early
practice runs with mark-sense machines have not been encouraging. Why is
that so I wonder?

Its a good thing, Norm, that so many years ago I had not met a jaded,
sourpuss like you...
