Hi there Jim - Not off topic at all. It's really just the junk and gunk I mentioned before, but it's not the fault of list members. Rather, it is the way this particular List formats its forum. Yuck! I try to trim off the repeating advertising and notices that make the postings here so unbearably long.
Quotes are nice, I think... as they give each person an identity in typeface (super lengthy ones are the exception so I agree with you). But the ads and notices stack up over and over again with each reply. If we all could try to remove the junk and gunk from our replies it would really be helpful in keeping things neater and easier to read. I think. Unwrap It!" - C~ www.SeptemberSea.com A slightly off topic but appropriate comment: Folks, please also try to trim some of the quoted material from your replies. I see some messages with 100's of lines of quote and a couple of lines of reply. As Rosalie said, there are people that have to pay for time and mail size. Years ago list admins used to reject email that had a large ratio of quoted lines to replies. It made for a better reading experience. Thanks, Jim. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
