Yep it works like a charm. One time a buddy and I had to kedge a 40 foot
plus boat some three or four miles upstream. We picked up the boat and
topped the fuel tanks but forgot about the old gasoline being as much as 3
years old. He had bought the boat from the estate and had to remove the
boat from the storage marina ASAP.
Engines died just as we cleared the river mouth at about 7 PM.
We created a 500 foot long anchor rode by tying two rodes plus all the
dock lines together. Took a while though. We didn't get to a marina till
about 2:30 AM.
