Norm - #14 sounds a little light.  Also check the voltage drop across the
trip switch.  I too, use a trip switch and haven't checked mine - just a
thought.

Norm - I've heard these things called Goose Necks.  I use one I made of 1
1/2" copper pipe sweat fittings (without soldering them) for some antenna
wires.
