No.  This is not a chain/link situation.

If you have mixed size wires in the circuit think of them as a series of 
resistors whose total resistance is found by adding them together.

For example: if you have four feet of wire that has a resistance of .01 
ohms/foot then that is a total of .04 ohms.  If your juice then passes through 
6 feet of wire that has a resistance of .02 ohms/foot that's .12 ohms added to 
the first .04 ohms or .16 ohms.  For the round trip it would be .32 ohms.
