Norm, When you look at the capacity of a disk drive, or the amount of memory installed in a computer, you are always seeing that Kbytes = 1024 bytes thing. Of course the computer industry "assumes" that everyone knows all this so it is only explained a very few times. I have seen the standard (Kbyte = 1000 bytes) usage , when used in relation to computers, explained (in small print) more often.
