Jim: We spent a night on a mooring ball at Vero about a week ago and I would second everything Ed said and add a suggestion that you call in a reservation fairly early in the day as they seem to be getting fairly crowded. When we arrived at about 4:00 p.m., they were nearly full and we saw a few "rafters" but not many.
