I'm in the same boat (pardon the pun!) as Sam in that I had this unit installed on my old boat (Hydro-Therapy) working on (and off of) my house bank which was a pair of 6V L16 wet cell fork-lift batteries. It is/was impossible to really know how well it worked except that those batteries worked perfectly for the 4 years I had them.
I'm planning on ordering another one to install on the new boat which is running 6 T105s (in series and parallel). The technology certainly makes sense and, for the price, seems like good insurance.
