it was...recently I spent most of an afternoon at don's salvage in st pete fla measuring tanks nothing fit.. its like a rectangle with the long sides top and bottom, then add a triangle to the bottom inverted so the point is down.. and its 45 gallons in volume - less if I were to get a tank custom made.. but you are correct.. I contacted both Ronco, and some private people in fla and maryland who had the capability to make tanks.. the cost was more than I felt I could both afford and reasonable.. more than twice that of a tank already premade..
A bladder stood the potentialf for being puntured in a rough glass environment.. I could paint.. and the product is great.. I have the data if anyone wants it to paint a gas or water tank..Americoat is the brand name.. Reglassing is really the only reasonable way to go...its going to be a pain in the butt.. BTW, you guys do know that in CAli there is a law firm representing a bertram owner against ethanol makers..that have had significant loss of use of thier boats as well as cost to fix thier gas tanks. The firm wants to make it a class action against ethanol to shut it down.. and its a great idea.. have the firm's name and info if anyone wants to get onboard. I signed with them a yr back.. I won't get into all the reasons ethanol is bad nor debate it but if you are interested email me backchannel.. 'b.
