go for it.. we did twin kiss generators. (I prefer the air x though) and twin solar panels.. the initial investment is a tad bit costly..but the end game is okay.. you just have to learn to conserve your energy. Make sure you keep a seperate battery for starting the engine. I also have gone to a trawler lamp.. change out the incadescent for led';s that draw next to nothing.. have an good chart lamp where your favorite sit to read spot is. things like microwaves and elec stoves draw big juice.. I run the engine for the microwave.. what are you using for heat.. that sounds like your big problem.. might want to consider going over to the dickerson diesel stoves.. I think, before I invested in totaly going off the grid in a marina, I would look at what my big electric draws were and when and what I could do to switch to something more economical such as a diesel heater. propane stove or diesel stove.. that sort of thing.. how much do you use the microwave.. Make sure you sit down and do a _realistic_ power draw for yourself.. good luck.. lets us all know what you do.. it will be intersting 'bella
