See you are ready to leave Fernandina. We don't stop in Morehead so may catch up to you, maybe in Norfolk
We are leaving Julington Saturday, stopping in Mayport, then to Fernandina Sunday. Entering Morehead can be exciting. There is often a big swell between the jetties at the land end. Especially when the tide is counter to the wind. I imagine the wind is sea breeze so outgoing tide is probably the worst. We use full power when transiting this area to have maximum rudder control to avoid broaching. I suggest timing for a daylight arrival at Morehead, especially if you plan to go to anchor in Beaufort. After Morehead harbor there is a bridge then a marsh area. Be careful here, there are some confusing side channel markers. After the marsh is Adams Cut and Adams Creek thence into the clear river around Oriental. Frying Pan light tower is essentially invisible. We use the R "2FP" Fl R 4s BELL buoy as our waypoint at Frying Pan. Have a safe and comfortable trip.
