Might want to pick up Frank Papy's cruising guide to the keys...
There are those out there that know a LOT more than me about the gulf...
my small bit is more to keep you and the boat in one piece..
watch your weather windows... and if you make a plan to sail only during the
day keep to that plan..
www.bluewaterweb.com has great charts and cruiising guides.. located in Fort
Lauderdale the customer
service is awesome... I never said this but they carry Cuba cruising guides
and maps.. I strongly suggest that IF
such items find thier way to your palace..they be hidden like all those
illegal drugs you are carrying (joke)..
Blue Water Charts has a catalog they are delighted to send out.

If there is anything I can help you with.. or look up for you... I have not
done a lot of gunkholing in the Keys.. but I plan on it not this winter but
next...
I am stuck up here...well I am working towards moving south to Hampton VA
for this next winter..
