The theory behind this thing (magnetic field manipulation of a metal
that has a negative magnetocaloric effect) sounds reasonable - there's a
number of materials that have magnetocaloric effects. However, for
almost five years now, these guys have been making lots of noise -
plenty of press about the wonderful enviro effects, great promises of
huge energy savings, etc. - but there still seems to be no working
prototype, at least not that I could find with a quick Google search.

I hope it happens one day. Meanwhile, I'm sticking with my
Twinbird/Coleman fridge; it works really well with minimal power
consumption - and uses CO2 instead of the standard refrigerants.
