OpenCPN: A concise ChartPlotter/Navigator. A cross-platform ship-borne GUI application supporting * GPS/GPDS Postition Input * BSB Raster Chart Display * S57 Vector ENChart Display * AIS Input Decoding * Waypoint Autopilot Navigation Highlights include: 1. Improved AIS target depiction and collision detection alerts. 2. Hot keys and scroll mouse support. 3. Help File. 4. Various display speed and quality optimizations, especially for CmM93 charts. I have been experimenting with it on my Ubuntu powered PC and find this free "no frills" navigator to be very stable, extremely fast loading and easy to use.
