Interesting. If the cost trends that already are happening continue even without this new advance soon we will see fast pay out cost effective household LED lights on the market. Wal-Mart claims that in their stores that now use all LED lighting the electricity bill is cut by 40% and labor costs are much less. Two things I have predicted for some time might now be practical because they are now able to use the same substrate, silicon, as a normal IC, that is integrating the LED 'driver' onto the same IC chip as the LED die, and making the LED much larger so it could for instance be ten inches long. -Ken _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
