On Lake Cayuga I would be out sailing during the winter. If the water
temp really stays above 39F there WILL be good sailing days. 'bella,
who has posted on this thread, bravely went sailing with me and other
friends on a check sail (new genoa) one February day when the air
temperature was 19F. We broke skim ice in the fairway until we got out
into Back Creek.

'bella was not brave.. bella was having a great time..I don't care how cold
it was..
The sun was out, the bay looked like someone had scattered millions of
diamonds on the
water.. Dave had ski gloes one.. the boat was heeled something fierce. I
could not feel my feet or hands... I had a GREAT TIME...

I used, all last year, a small electric heater I kept on the steps as low as
I could get it. sat under a heat lamp and had a heating pad for my feet. I
was fine.. electric blanket on the bed. This winter I hope to be much
further south and not need as much heat as I did last winter. I hope at
least..
