If he had been making normal progress and the spot went haywire, I'd say OK something with spot went south. The fact he stopped making "normal progress" east and the spot went south, concerns me. For 3 hours he seemed to drift or at least not go in an easterly direction. I'd rather error on the side of caution. I don't know if he has a satphone or not. Anyone know how to get in touch with his Son?
