We're mobile, don't have strong ties to any one place..

Is it feasible to sail up and down the east coast of USA, so have an
extended warm weather window? Is it possible to avoid the hurricanes,
the very hot weather, and the very cold?

Are any list-members leading this nomadic life? Anyone we can connect
with to explore this idea?

Neal,
As you can see we live on the Gulf Coast. We just came off of a 9,000 mile
trip around the east coast, Fla. Keys fr the Dry Tortugas all the
Way up the east coast to NY then Canada and dwn.
Hundreds of boats travel between NY and south Fla every yr. Some friends of
ours have done it over 16 consecutive yrs. So to ans your query, YES.

AND you have the choice of sailing offshore or using the ICW,( Atlantic ICW)
there is one on the Gulf as well that runs from the Mexican border at
Brownsville, Tx to Key West.
