If you want clean and shiney brass there are two roads, spray or not spray.

Spray stays shiney longer between stripping/polishing/re-spraying, but
gradually gets dingy as the coating ages.

Not spray requires continual polishing but stays a constant glowing color
forever.

The nicer the nice the higher the price...
