Hello all again,
I am typing this e-mail message using my Dragon speech input system on
my
new computer. It works pretty well but occasionally I do have to use the
mouse
and then type in the right word. This is still much easier.
I have made the decision that I can no longer live on my sailboat. It
is just too difficult to do things with only one hand and being vision
impaired.
Does anybody want to buy a real piece of junk sailboat?
It is a 1974 Coronado 35.
It needs everything, the ruler furling for the jib has been jammed for
years, the Main halyard has been jammed for years, the 12 V power system is
screwed, the 120 V power system is screwed, there is a big hunk of material
missing from the starboard side of the keel, the seacock under the galley
sink allows water to flow whether you close it or not.
Only asking $6,000.
My new computer;
3.0 GHz Pentium D
2 GB RAM
my usual disk drive drawers to allow me to clone my C: disk
22 X DVD/CD burner with light scribe
SoundBlaster card
four port USB card
ATI All-In-Wonder 9600 XT card
all on a 4-core-dual-VSTA motherboard from Asrock.
Still running windows XP home edition.
Some of that was hard to do with this speech recognition software.
sure beats typing it.
