I agree completely. I show the anchor ball mainly to help keep cops at bay by covering all my bases. Norm S/V Bandersnatch Lying Gloucester MA Notwithstanding the regulations, I find that anchor ball use on small boats (i.e. yachts) is less of an issue because it is usually obvious if they are at anchor and because, if not, maneuverability is far greater.
