Bill: The 20M and 40M bands, which are already included in the KISS counterpoise, are the workhorse bands and include the Intercon, Maritime Mobile and Pacific nets (14.300 MHz in the 20M band) which provide great coverage during much of the day. But you can achieve the same result for a whole lot less than spending $140 just by running 1/4 wave radials for the target bands. If you're not familiar with how to do this, any ham operator can give you the measurements. You will also probably get a more effective radial system by separating the appropriate radials than by bundling them as is done in the KISS device. In addition, if you're not transmitting on these bands (do you have a license to operate on those frequencies?), the additional sensitivity may not be worth the effort.
