Thanks Steve, Captain Nâdir departed Baltimore before I could give him the information :-) I will pass on your advice at his next port of call. Turks are not known for their intelligence but Nâdir can figure out "not to hit anything". I am sure of it. Nâdir scored the fifth highest grade out of 20,000+ applicants in the primary entrance exam for the Turkish naval academy. His serial number was 8005 and he was the highest ranking midshipman when he was admitted into our class of 8000 in 1968.
