In that case, they're _totally_ pointless: the inverter types would
throw a lot of "square-wave" noise into your audio, and the non-inverter
ones are too loud! :)

Yep. In fact, I'm running the engine right now, but that's only because
a) I haven't run it in more than a month, and like to make sure that it
cranks over regularly, and b) I've been working on a project that's got
me using the PC for lots of hours a day. Mostly, though, I'm pretty
close to self-sufficient; if I had room for two more solar panels, I'd
be there.
