Hi group,
I have been "lurking" here for the past year or so & have been
happily learning a lot from you regular members.
I too, have been trying to justify the cost of a Sailrite machine,
and yes, they are quite pricey. I have run across a clone of that
Sailrite, called a Morse. They do have a web site. They claim that the
Morse is manufactured on the same assembly line as the Sailrite. The
Morse has a walking foot & does straight and zig zag stitches. The
biggest difference I can find is that it doesn't come with a carrying
case like the Sailrite does. It sells for $ 349.00. Brand new. That is
less than half the cost of a Sailrite.
Does any one have any experience or input with the Morse ? Sailing
minds would like to know.
