I believe any documented vessel must display the flag of documentation
at size appropriate to the length of the vessel. And as a matter of
courtesy, display the flag of the country's waters that it currently
within.

Interesting that the Coasties didnt mention it. Were you underway at
the time of the USCG inspection?
