...is finding a treasure (or, as is much more apt to happen with me,
something amusing in this fine world of ours) when you're not looking
for it. Case in point: discussing pipes here with Skip of "Flying Pig" -
and an hour later, in a completely unrelated Net search, running across
this (from a list of US pipeline accidents):

  2010 A gas pipeline under construction in Grand Prairie, Texas was
  running a cleaning pig on October 15 without a pig "trap" at the end of
  the pipe. The 150 pound pig was expelled from the pipeline with enough
  force to fly 500 feet (150 m), and crash through the side of a house. No
  one was injured.

Now that's what I call a Flying Pig!!!

And on that unrelated note - happy holidays to all. May the coming year
bring you much joy, peace, love, and a marked absence of flying pigs
crashing into your house. :)
