I'm quite a fan of Lanacote myself, especially for stainless
turnbuckles. In my experience, it stops galling - period.

For anything that gets hot (e.g., engine parts), I use silver-based
anti-seize. Lovely, amazing stuff. My life is divided into two parts:
before and after the discovery of anti-seize... the former had many more
smashed fingers, bloody knuckles, and much more swearing in it. :)
