In the early 90, I bought a vacuum sealer machine fro a guy in California.

It works..

Alas, though, he went out of business.

At the end he offered to me a few at his cost, which I bought.

It have been with me thru think and thin.

I have 4, and I am on #2. The first one finally gave up the goes in about 2008.

I use it on the boat to seal mason jars, wine, (not often) ziploc vacuum bags,
etc etc. It works, and without a wimpier.

It does require some TLC, so annually, I use gasoline to lube the motor and the
suction valve.

Fairly simple construction, appears to be reasonably bullet proof (knock on
wood)

We have found bags to be less than "well made."

Returned 4 medium bags to ziploc with a complaint note,,,,

got 100 of their large and 100 of their medium as a "reward."

Sooooooo Complaints seem to work... though I have found that for the most part,
getting more than one reuse out of a bag is problematic.

We found that single or double zip lock - they all got caught somewhere and
