I prefer to download torrents, as I have had more success on torrents
than FTP servers in my time (SuSE DVD coaster, It was my fault, forgot
to check the MD5).  I see it as a way to give back to the community.

I do see your point though about enough bandwidth, so I retract my
suggestion.
