For PCI hardware, I already listed all problematic cases that are relevant for the Live CD config (8139too vs 8139cp, xircom_cb vs xircom_tulip_cb, tulip vs dmfe, e100 vs eepro100). For USB, the list is:

usb:v04E8p8001dl*dh*dc*dsc*dp*ic*isc*ip* = pl2303 vs visor
usb:v066Bp2202dl*dh*dc*dsc*dp*ic*isc*ip* = kaweth vs pegasus
usb:v06CDp0103dl*dh*dc*dsc*dp*ic*isc*ip* = keyspan vs keyspan_pda

Since I don't have any hardware relevant to any of those USB modules, your advice is needed. When to use which one?
