Added an unpack script - need to call it from each Makefile
This is the first of several commits to come. Trying to improve the
build scripts in general. Would like to centralize more of the commands
within the scripts (such as the downloading of files, logging, etc.) so
that there aren't as many hard-coded possibilities of failures.
