Have you tried the new Xorg with a 2.6.14.4 kernel and CVS
linux-libc-headers?
Not yet, currently checking out LLH from SVN. As for the kernel version, I won't test 2.4.14.4 kernel because I already removed hotplug from my system.

Checked out, diffed against LLH-2.6.12.0. The differences in asm-i386 and linux directories are listed below, other directories are ignored by LFS.

asm-i386/hdreg.h, asm-i386/init.h: removed, obsolete
linux/netfilter_ipv4/lockhelp.h: removed, kernel use only
linux/i2c-sensor.h, linux/i2c-vid.h: removed
linux/inotify.h: new file
linux/pci-dynids.h: removed
linux/siginfo.h: removed
linux/socket.h: adjusted for non-Glibc systems
linux/tcp_diag.h: removed
linux/xattr_acl.h: removed

As you see, there is nothing interesting in the diff that warrants X.Org recompilation attempt. It will certainly fail with the same error.
