This is because, on the 6.1.1.x LiveCDs, you are supposd to configure X
yourself. This includes display resolution and keymap. So, WONTFIX for
6.1.1.x.
I love your livecd :)
You will love the latest 6.2-pre3 CD even more, since it doesn't have
the bug you reported.
