Sorry, there is a bug with British keymap: "uk" and "gb" should be swapped on the second keymap related screen. This will be fixed in the next release, coming in a week together with fixes for other reported bugs, if any.
For now, British users should just edit the "Console keymap" and "X keymap" fields on the console configuration screen.
