#1689: Does not boot on FIC AZ11 mobo ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Reporter: Poly-poly man | Owner: [email protected] Type: defect | Status: new Priority: high | Milestone: Component: CD | Version: x86-6.2-1 Severity: major | Resolution: Keywords: no boot | ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Changes (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
* summary: Does not boot => Does not boot on FIC AZ11 mobo Comment: What you describe is a kernel panic. Please take your digital camera, and attach to this ticket a JPEG photo of the screen when it says "Attempted to kill init". Or, retype the last 5-6 lines. Also, if booting with "linux.ata" instead of just pressing Enter at the boot prompt makes the issue disappear, this will be treated as "not a bug" (but please notify if this does help). Note that this procedure will lead to renaming of all IDE devices as if they were SCSI: /dev/sda, /dev/scd0 and so on. In any case, to debug this problem, I need the output of "lspci && lspci -n" from any Linux system (e.g. Puppy or Knoppix) that does boot on this computer. Without this, I can do nothing about the bug. Known working linux-2.6.16.27 configuration file, if any, will also be a helpful attachment. -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/ticket/1689> LiveCD Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/> Linux From Scratch LiveCD -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/livecd FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
