Rumor has it that Chris HEndrickson may have mentioned these words:
>hello Live CD support team,
>
>I downloaded the iso fort he live CD and booted my computer from the CD.
>After a few minutes I get this error:
>
>isoLinux: Disk error 80, Ax=4200, drive 9F
>Boot failed: press key to retry
>
>Could you please help me.

We can try... but there's not a lot of info to go on...

Firstly, the obvious:

1) Did you double-check the MD5 checksum for the file you downloaded? If
the file you downloaded was damaged in some way, that could cause the boot
to fail...

2) When you burned the media, did you have it verify the burn? If there
were errors during the burn, there may very well be problems with the disk
(you did use a high-quality disk, right? They're not much more $$$ than the
el-cheapo disks, and give you much less heartburn).

3) Have you tried a different distro's LiveCD to see if the machine will
boot from a CD without other issues? It's possible if you have newer
hardware, that there aren't the correct drivers available on the LFS
LiveCD, or if the CDRom drive itself is having issues, that could cause
errors like this.

Beyond that, please let us know a) what else you tried, b) the hardware
you're running on (motherboard version, type of drive, etc) and if other
things will or won't work correctly on your machine. The more information
we have to go on, the better chance we have of helping you solve your problem.

Thanks,
